Well, I have always used Amazon for as long as I remember, and am a Prime member. But now, I have used it even more. Bought a fridge for my bedroom and had it next day for $3.99. Cool how Amazon still honors the $3.99 delivery for an item as big as a fridge.

Also, Amazon now has a subscription program for stuff. I subscribed to the baby wipes program which saves me 15% off on the baby wipes!!! I’m now looking for a diaper version haha.

Anyway, Dad’s coming up to visit this weekend so he can see is grandkids. Hopefully my brother will also be coming up too.

I’ve been shooting a lot of video recently with my new Canon Vixia HF10. I’ve been using automatic the last few weeks and am now researching the plethora of options available on the camera. Some of the options are choosing 60i, 30p, or 24p. Right now, the camera is capturing 1080i level HD video, but according to some websites, I can get 1080p quality by using Cinema mode with 24p… Well, the only other problem is that Apple iMovie ‘08 may not support 24p, which would force me to buy Final Studio or some other $300+ software for video editing.

I think I’m just gonna stick to automatic for the time being.

  • I have the DirecTV HDTV DVR, and the feature with Caller ID showing up is awesome. It fits my couch potato personality of not having to get up and pick up the phone if I don’t have to.

But, I think it’s hysterical that Caller ID doesn’t show up when it’s DirecTV calling you… Smart of them, yet devious as well.

My mom is flying in from New York to see her grand kids. She’ll be staying until Tuesday. I’ll be picking her up at the airport later this morning.

I’ve been watching reruns of Star Trek: Voyager. I’m trying to figure out when I watched these in the past. The show ran from 1995 until 2001, which is when I was going to school. I don’t remember having much time to watch TV back then. Anyway, Spike has a bunch of shows that I’m catching up on. I love Tivo and HDTV. What a combo. Now if I can only figure out the best way to get the shows off the Tivo and onto my iPod. I don’t feel like an Apple TV or building a Media Center PC.

I also started adding dates to the posts. While WordPress automatically shows the date, MacJournal doesn’t, so sorry if you get annoyed with seeing a date twice.

  • I finally have time to update this blog. We had some new additions to the family last week, and I’ve been busy entering into fatherhood. Bishop, our dog, is adjusting well to the changes at home. I’ve started a new blog just for the family. We’ll see how much I use it. Here is the URL.

I’ve password protected it, so if anyone wants the password, just send me an email.

Well, other than this life changing event, nothing new to report.

  • Wow, this thing sucks you in fast. Pretty fun tool and getting back in touch with a lot of lost long friends. I’ve got a lot of work to do and some personal stuff going on, so I’m keeping this short.

  • For those of you who know me, I’ve been holding back on opening a facebook account forever… I don’t know why, but I just did. I have a Friendster account, but didn’t feel like joining another social network like MySpace or Facebook. Well, for whatever reason, I gave in haha, and now I’m hooked!!! I’m haven’t even touched the surface of what Facebook could do. Well, cya on Facebook!

  • Watching Baby Borrowers on tv. It’s a trippy TV show. Really big twist on how these teens are changing so quickly even though they’ve only had the babies for 1 day.

I’m also looking at the Kindle. I’m so tempted in buying one, but I’m restraining myself. I’d like to wait for the 2nd version of it, but I usually give in sooner or later.

Well, that’s about it. I’m looking forward to this July 4th long weekend.

  • Wow, this was a busy week. A lot going on right now. I’m trying to figure out the best way to do a private log. I don’t want it too complex that people will have a tough time getting to it. Well, I’ll figure it out one of these days.

Got the BMW back on Tuesday. It’s running well, but I’m out some cash. Been busy at work. A lot of changes going on again. I was busy today with meetings and doing presentations.

Tomorrow, I think that we’re gonna grab Indian food in San Mateo. Other than that, we have some shopping to do.

  • Dropped our BMW off at the dealership today. The bill is gonna run us a lot just to get it fixed… We have no choice but to fix it as I don’t want another car payment.

Nice and sunny day out here in the Bay Area. We had Dim Sum for brunch today. We haven’t had Dim Sum for a while. It was pretty good stuff. Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow.
